The "WMAP 7.1" chains that were released on 11/19/2010 had a small bug that affected the weight attached to each point in the chain. This has been corrected and the WMAP 7.1 chains have been replaced with WMAP 7.2 chains. The main effect of the bug was to introduce some artificial roll-off in the likelihood of the SZ amplitude parameter (which is largely unconstrained by WMAP). The WMAP satellite ended science observations on 20 August 2010. On 8 September 2010, WMAP departed L2 for a heliocentric orbit approximately 7% larger than the Earth's orbit, where it will remain indefinitely. The complete nine-year data set is now being processed and the final legacy data products will be released by 2012.
