Here is a brief description of all the files in this directory (all maps are at Nside=4096): Total Maps: {FREQ}_skymap_healpix_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK_SimLensCMB_tSZrescale0p75_CIBrescale0p75_Comm_synchffAME_rad_pts_fluxcut148_7mJy_lininterp.fits These are the final maps in which all components have been combined, evaluated at each SO and Planck frequency up to 353 GHz [FREQ] with delta-function bandpasses assumed (13 maps in total), in units of uK. Lensed CMB: Sehgalsimparams_healpix_4096_KappaeffLSStoCMBfullsky_phi_SimLens_Tsynfastnopell_fast_lmax8000_nside4096_interp2.5_method1_1_lensed_map.fits This is the lensed CMB temperature map, in units of uK (this map is frequency-independent in the thermodynamic CMB temperature units used here). CMB Lensing Convergence: healpix_4096_KappaeffLSStoCMBfullsky.fits This is the CMB lensing convergence (kappa) map, with which the CMB temperature field is lensed. It is computed via the Born approximation, i.e., no ray-tracing is performed. Kinematic SZ: 148_ksz_healpix_nopell_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK.fits This is the kSZ map, in units of uK (although the filename has '148', this map is frequency-independent in the thermodynamic CMB temperature units used here). Thermal SZ: tSZ_skymap_healpix_nopell_Nside4096_y_tSZrescale0p75.fits This is the tSZ map, in units of Compton-y (dimensionless), with the rescaling factor applied to bring the amplitude of the power spectrum into reasonable agreement with the Planck 2013 y-map tSZ power spectrum. Note that the user must rescale this map to each frequency by multiplying by the tSZ spectral function and T_CMB=2.726e6 uK. CIB: {FREQ}_ir_pts_healpix_nopell_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK_lininterp_CIBrescale0p75.fits These are the CIB maps at each SO and Planck frequency [FREQ], including clustered and Poisson components, in units of uK, obtained via a pixel-by-pixel interpolation of the original Sehgal sim CIB maps in log-log space. A rescaling factor has been applied to bring the power spectrum at 148 GHz into approximate agreement with the Dunkley+13 constraint. Note that the agreement with data at other frequencies (e.g., Planck) is not good, due to the SED here differing from that subsequently measured by Planck (the sims predated Planck). Nevertheless the maps are useful as a plausible realization of the CIB, with realistic correlation properties with all the other extragalactic fields. Radio Sources: {FREQ}_rad_pts_healpix_nopell_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK_fluxcut148_7mJy_lininterp.fits These are the radio point source maps at each SO and Planck frequency [FREQ], in units of uK, obtained via a pixel-by-pixel interpolation of the original Sehgal sim radio source maps in log-log space. A flux cut of 7 mJy at 148 GHz has been applied (the cut is determined at 148 GHz, but removal of these sources is done to the maps at all frequencies). Galactic Dust: {FREQ}_dust_healpix_nopell_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK_lininterp.fits These are the Galactic dust maps at each SO and Planck frequency [FREQ], in units of uK, obtained via a pixel-by-pixel interpolation of the original Sehgal sim Galactic dust maps in log-log space. Low-Frequency Galactic Foregrounds (Synchrotron, Free-Free, AME all from Commander): commander_synch_freefree_AME_{FREQ}_Equ_uK_smooth17arcmin.fits These are maps of the three main low-frequency Galactic foregrounds (all summed together) at each SO and Planck frequency [FREQ], constructed from the Planck 2015 Commander results, in units of uK. Note that these are upsampled to Nside=4096, but a filter is applied with FWHM=17 arcmin to remove artifacts on small scales associated with the upsampling. Masks: mask_{AREA}_Equ_bool_Nside4096.fits These are the three sky masks used in the SO forecasting paper, each retaining a sky area of [AREA] (in units of deg^2). These are in Equatorial coordinates, and are boolean (i.e., no apodization has been applied). Power Spectra: CMB_PS_healpix_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK_SimLensCMB.txt This is the power spectrum of the lensed CMB temperature map, in units of uK^2 (with no factors of ell, 2pi, etc.). kSZ_PS_Sehgal_healpix_Nside4096_DeltaT_uK.txt This is the power spectrum of the kSZ map, in units of uK^2 (with no factors of ell, 2pi, etc.). Sehgal_sim_tSZPS_unbinned_8192_y_rescale0p75.txt This is the power spectrum of the tSZ map, in units of Compton-y (dimensionless) (with no factors of ell, 2pi, etc.), with the rescaling factor applied to bring the amplitude into reasonable agreement with the Planck 2013 y-map tSZ power spectrum.
