IRAS Low-Resolution All-Sky Maps

These images were produced by dividing the 0.5° x 0.5° beam data contained in the standard Zodiacal Observation History File into the three separate sky coverages (HCONs) and assembling them into three maps with an Aitoff equal area projection in Galactic coordinates. Two fields of each sky coverage were produced, one centered on the Galactic center and one on the Galactic anticenter, yielding a total of six images per wavelength band. The files are in FITS format. For more information see the Explanatory Supplement.
